just got back from my weekly meeting with my supervisor,deymn, keje makin banyak! -_-"
but its okay, i got all my movies here to teman me. hee =)

okay, for this week, im gonna review about the best sci-fi movie ever produced.

Back To The Future 1
release: 3rd July 1985 (heck, i wasnt even born at that time!)
genre: sci fi
duration:116 minutes

this movie kick off with the hit song, " The Power of Love" which i guess still a hit classic today.*really?

the reason why i really love this movie is for its detailing and Spielberg also co-direct this movie along with its director Robert Zemeckies.

details.that what a good movie is all about. every scene have a connection with the other.every word, every action have a correlation with another scene.the director really plays the term future to its limit.

i'll give you some of the scene that you need to focus on during this movie:

*notice the word "slacker" were used by mr strickland in every movie

(and come on, mr strickland for a discipline teacher.the irony.hahaha)

repetition of word and action.in two different time.

*lots of it in this movie,too much for me to explain in here. =)

completely contradict statement.come on mom!hahaha

i guess not many of pple recognize this scene. try looking up the name "peabody" and detect it in this movie

and i love the time travel effect!!!!

and tell me who dosent love a delorean?hah?hah?

*eventhough it does labelled as the worst supercar everr.still love it! =p

why must it be a delorean? doc brown answers.

enough with that,next clue on what to focus on the movie is the mayor,the clock tower,the Texaco gas station.

nuff said, go watch the movie and find out yourself!! =)

must watch with your girlfriend. then you will be able to brag about ur knowledge and all the clues in the movies that i had noted earlier.

but beware, too much bragging could lead to a pouting mouth and bored face. =p

Phone booth

A ringing phone need to be answered, right?

This is what I talk about being outsmarted just via throwing out your words. This movie is basically revolves a phonebooth which is going to be demolished the next day.

a simple call would'nt hurt, eh?

It is just a simple plot, you walk into a phonebooth, make a call and when you finished, the phone rang and you answered it.

suddenly someone who knows him called.(really know him)

I love it when a movie could bring up our daily routine and make it into something unimaginable (the reason I love japan horror movies)

suddenly a pizza guy comes.pizza to a phonebooth?wth?

Stu Shepherd just going through his normal daily routine when suddenly realizes that his life was hanging at a gunpoint.

and giving death threats

I love it when Kiefer Sutherland plays his role well, manipulating each of the scene carefully, planning the so called “rehabilitation” to force his victim to obey him. It is just like Saw, without the gore.

forces him to confess to his wife

Forest Whitaker also plays his character well, with his one eye slanted more than the other, it shows that his life is suffering too, just through his appearance. And through that quality, he could detect that Stu is not just some lunatic who don’t want to get out of the phonebooth.

Enough with that, just go see the movie for yourself. I’d given the movie 4.5 out of 5.

Trust me, it’ll worth your time. =)

Hannibal Rising reviews

Hannibal rising

I’m really looking forward for this movie for it is a prequel for my first movie review, The silence of the lambs.

Seeing Hannibal Lecter as a kid surely excites me, im starting to imagine how he could psycho-talk the people around him, what turns him into such a smart-mouth, his first kill.

But…it turns out quite the opposite. For me, this movie kinda ruin the image of Hannibal Lecter which I had embedded during my period of watching TSOTL.

It potrays the beginning of Hannibal Lecter as purely revenge on his eaten sister, Miscah. Which were eaten during the war when they were hiding after their parent were killed during a clash between Hitler army and the German army.

Before Miscah were eaten, due to starvation, the Hitler army finally resort to cannibalism. Yuck!

Poor Micsah

When he grow up, he starting to find each of the person responsible in killing Miscah. Killed them one by one. Kinda like a normal thriller movie to me. Kill this, kill that, smile. But with no smart idea on how to first lure their victim, his motive is not clear enough.

Gaspard Ulliel does not potrays what I believe to be the key factor of Hannibal Lecter. His stare and his speech. He does not have that. His eye is not blue and not wide enough, his speech is presented in more like Bella in Twillight, always painful, screechy kind of voice.

I don’t like how the director trying to connect Hannibal lecter to the Japanese art of swordfight, Kenpo.wtf??

But Gong Li is gorgeous in this movie, I would like to have a hot auntie like that too! Kidding.hahaha

Overall, I give this movie a rating of 3.5 out of 5. For its director effort and brilliant cinematography. The scene is wonderful, camera angle is awesome. We could see what technology could do by comparing TSOTL and Hannibal rising.

Girlfriend alert!

this is a good movie to bring your girlfriend with, kinda like an easy understandable movie but dont tell her that it is a prequel to another movie. let her enjoy the movie as it is. 

and to you, as your brain teaser, try to relate this movie to TSOTL and go on download Red Dragon, Hannibal or if you dont yet watch TSOTL, go ahead and see it first. you'll get what i meant in this post. =)

but seriously, no kids is allowed. 18+ only okay! play safe! =p

The silence of the lambs.

Don’t you just love a movie that completely mess up your head?

This is one of my favourite movie, Anthony Hopkins really plays his character well,as a psychotic doctor, Dr. Hannibal Lecter. Even his eye could make me chill all over. His every word echoes with the cell that hold him.

Kinda make you think, is there is such a person. If it does,would you dare yourself to talk to him?

I also love the texas accent on Jodie Foster as she plays her character as Clarice Starling, a brave and curious FBI trainee, trying to investigate the case of “Buffalo Bill” by studying Hannibal Lecter.

The first time Clarice gonna meet up with Dr. Hannibal Lecter, the security head brief her about how Hannibal treat one of the nurse at the facility. If it was me,I’d run already.hahaha

The reason why this movie were called “The silence of the lambs” understand the meaning by yourself. =)

What to do after you’d watched this movie which had caused Jodie Foster and Anthony Hopkins an oscar each for best actor and actress and best movie of the year, is to look for the movie “Manhunt” and “Hannibal Rising”

Trust me, it’ll worth your time.

To avoid constant question like “ why is he like this?why is he like that?” avoid watching it with your girlfriend or with those who refuse to use their brain when watching a movie.hahaha
